Frequently Asked Questions

Why is proper grading important?

Water follows gravity. If your yard slopes toward your house instead of away from it, you'll eventually get moisture in your crawlspace, basement, or foundation walls. Good grading prevents that — it's one of the most impactful things you can do for your property.

How do you figure out what grade my property needs?

We walk your property, look at where water is collecting or flowing, and figure out the best way to move it. Sometimes the fix is simple regrading; other times you also need a swale or drain to get the water where it needs to go.

How long does grading take?

Most residential grading jobs are 1–3 days. A small yard leveling for a patio pad might be a few hours. A full-lot regrade takes longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline before we start.

Will grading fix my drainage problems?

In many cases, yes. Grading is the first line of defense against water issues. If the grade alone won't solve it, we can also trench for French drains or shape swales to handle the volume.

Do you work with builders and contractors?

Yes. We do site prep and grading for contractors regularly. If you need a lot cleared and graded before construction, we can handle the whole scope.

Can you grade around existing landscaping?

We can work around trees, gardens, and features you want to keep. Just let us know what stays and what goes, and we'll plan accordingly.
